What Is Dead May Never Die

This is a very personal piece to me. I painted it in a season of great draught, where all I felt the world could see was a dead lifeless tree. The only color in this image points to the water source, and the small places of life it feeds. Its meant to communicate that life can come back slowly, and should not be ignored simply because the greater image takes the focus.
